[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyungsoo] Genians announced on the 3rd that it has signed a distribution contract for endpoint-based intelligent threat detection and response solution (EDR) with CPlatform, an IT solution supplier of the ITCEN Group.
CPlatform has secured large-scale customers in industries such as manufacturing, finance, and public sectors, establishing competitiveness in the procurement business sector. Genians, which is rapidly capturing the domestic EDR market, expects to create synergy by partnering with CPlatform.
As cyber threats evolve worldwide, the need for pre-attack inspection and AI-based malware detection and response has increased. It is difficult to respond with only antivirus products that detect based on known threat information.
With the spread of remote work in the untact era, EDR combined with artificial intelligence (AI) to respond to intelligent variant cyber attacks is gaining attention. Genians' EDR solution 'Genians Insights E V 2.0' can detect advanced attack threats such as intelligent attacks and ransomware, and track signs and progress of attacks.
Kim Joongkyun, CEO of CPlatform, explained, "EDR is becoming an essential solution due to the response to advanced security threats such as hacking incidents in the large retail industry and changes in the security environment following the expansion of untact solution adoption."
He added, "If we utilize the procurement business partner network of about 200 partners that CPlatform possesses, we can create synergy with strategically expanding security solution items."
