According to the Gangseo Police Station in Busan on the 2nd, at around 10:46 PM on the 1st, Mr. A, a man in his 40s driving his Audi near the Gangseo Police Station in Myeongji-dong, Gangseo-gu, collided with the central divider.


As a result of the accident, Mr. A's vehicle was thrown into the opposite lane, overturned, and quickly caught fire.


Park Gang-hak, the civil affairs chief (Inspector) of Busan Gangseo Police Station, who was on his way home from work, witnessed the accident scene. While extinguishing the fire with a fire extinguisher in his own vehicle, Inspector Park found Mr. A unconscious and collapsed in the driver's seat, kicked open the driver's door, and rescued him.


Mr. A was taken to a nearby hospital but is reported to have no serious injuries. At the time, Mr. A's blood alcohol concentration was at the license cancellation level.


The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident with Mr. A.
