DBC, Participates in '2020 Blockchain Promotion Week'... Showcases "Welfare Benefit Duplicate Receipt Management Platform"

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Daily Blockchain (hereinafter DBC) announced on the 1st that it will showcase a pilot project for the ‘Blockchain-based Welfare Benefit Duplicate Receipt Management Platform’ at the ‘2020 Blockchain Promotion Week’ conference hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA).

The event will be held online through the ‘3rd Blockchain Promotion Week’ website until the 18th of this month. The conference, conducted under a total of seven themes including ▲Experiencing the Pilot Project ▲Conference ▲Blockchain Made Easy, featured DBC introducing the ‘Blockchain-based Welfare Benefit Duplicate Receipt Management Platform,’ which was selected as a KISA pilot project in the first half of this year to prevent duplicate welfare benefit receipts.

As the lead company in the pilot project, DBC’s ‘Welfare Benefit Duplicate Receipt Management Platform’ utilizes blockchain technology to present virtual operations such as ▲Proof of eligibility using decentralized identity verification ▲Application for welfare projects by central government ministries. The company explained that since middleware blockchain technology is applied to the decentralized information sharing platform, the issue of duplicate benefit receipts will be effectively improved.

DBC CEO Youngjoong Cho stated, “In addition to this KISA pilot project, by combining domestic leading ITS project experience, official development assistance projects, and overseas smart city project experience, we plan to secure a leading position in the global market based on 4th industrial revolution technologies, while also striving to build an industry-academia-research-government collaborative ecosystem for business expansion.”
