Park Sang-chul, President of Honam University, Meets Gwangju Green Car Promotion Agency Director to Explore Cooperation Plans in the Automotive Industry

On the 27th, according to Honam University, President Park Sang-chul met with the newly appointed Director Kim Deok-mo of the Gwangju Green Car Promotion Agency in the university headquarters president's office to discuss the current status of the regional automotive industry and cooperation plans between the two institutions.

Director Kim said, "I expect Honam University's role and cooperation as Gwangju Global Motors progresses successfully and Gwangju expands and develops as a production hub for future vehicles such as eco-friendly cars."

President Park also said, "We welcome the appointment of a new director with abundant experience in industrial sites such as Hyundai Motor Company," and added, "We will actively cooperate with the Gwangju Green Car Promotion Agency for regional development, focusing on related departments such as the Department of Future Automotive Engineering established through the PRIME project."

After the meeting, Director Kim visited the Imagination Workshop of Honam University's Department of Future Automotive Engineering to tour the state-of-the-art educational facilities related to electric and autonomous vehicles and review students' achievements in external institution awards.

Meanwhile, the meeting was attended by Dean Jeong Young-gi of the ICT Convergence College, Director Yoon In-mo of the Industry-Academia Cooperation Group, Head of the Future Automotive Department Yoo Yong-min, and Professor Kim Deok-mo of the New Broadcasting Department.
