[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Shinsegae Chosun Hotel has confirmed the opening of ‘Gravity Seoul Pangyo, Autograph Collection’ on December 30 and has started advance reservation sales.


A Shinsegae Chosun Hotel official explained, "Gravity Seoul Pangyo, Autograph Collection (hereafter Gravity) is another independent brand hotel of Shinsegae Chosun Hotel that proposes a sensory and vibrant lifestyle for customers seeking their own individuality and value under the brand philosophy of ‘energy that awakens the sleeping daily life.’"


Gravity consists of a total of 306 rooms, including Business Deluxe, Premier Deluxe, Valley Suite, and Gravity Suite, spanning from 6 basement floors to 18 above-ground floors. It also features three F&B outlets: the lounge & bar ‘Zero-vity,’ buffet restaurant ‘Andish,’ and modern Japanese dining ‘Homurang.’ The hotel includes a banquet hall ‘Space Ballroom’ that can be configured into three rooms and accommodate up to 300 people, as well as the ‘Gravity Club’ with an indoor swimming pool with an outdoor deck, fitness center, and GX room.


To commemorate the opening of Gravity, Shinsegae Chosun Hotel is launching the ‘Hello Gravity’ package with early bird benefits, available for sale through the Marriott website until March 31 next year. The stay period is from the opening date of Gravity on December 30 until March 31, 2021.


The ‘Hello Gravity’ package includes breakfast for two at the buffet restaurant Andish and a diffuser infused with Gravity’s unique scent. Customers staying in the Premier Deluxe room type will receive additional Gravity premium amenities. Prices start from 199,000 KRW, depending on the room type. As an early bird benefit, customers who book by December 15 will receive an additional 2,000 Marriott Bonvoy points.

Gravity, Shinsegae Chosun Hotel’s first lifestyle hotel, operates signature programs such as ‘Gravity Time’ and ‘Gravity Tribe.’ Through ‘Gravity Time,’ which offers Gravity’s unique entertainment and experiential content, and ‘Gravity Tribe,’ a community program tailored to different tastes, the hotel plans to establish itself as a modern hub space within communities such as Pangyo and Bundang.


Additionally, Gravity developed its signature scent ‘Awaken Twenty’ to match the brand, combining bergamot and green citrus notes to evoke the forest.


Meanwhile, Gravity’s design was created by interior designer L?zaro Rosa-Viol?n, based in Barcelona, Spain, who is loved for his sensory design and spatial composition across Europe and Asia. The brand concept of gravity is expressed geometrically and through different structures and forms, integrated into various spaces within the hotel.


Kim Sun-hee, General Manager of Gravity, said, “Gravity is Shinsegae Chosun Hotel’s first lifestyle hotel and its third independent brand. Beyond a simple lodging experience, the hotel will serve as a modern hub space where diverse lives and individuality come together.”
