Starfield Expands 'Online Store' with SSG.com and Naver Shopping


[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Popular brands located in the shopping theme park Starfield can now be found online as well.


Shinsegae Property announced on the 27th that it has opened the ‘Starfield Online Store’ on Naver and SSG.com, selling a total of about 1,500 products from 30 brands located in Starfield Hanam, Goyang, and COEX Mall.


To provide customers with a safe and convenient shopping environment and to offer tenant brands highly competitive online sales channels, they decided to expand the online store to Naver Shopping, the number one online shopping platform, and Shinsegae Group’s integrated online mall SSG.com.


Since the 9th of this month, Shinsegae Property has been conducting a pilot online sales operation through Naver Shopping and SSG.com with nine popular fashion brands located in Starfield, including trendy select shops ‘Wonder Place’, ‘The Ilma’, ‘Who.A.U’, and ‘Namu Geurim’.


Due to the high customer response during the pilot operation period, the number of online store brands has been increased to 30, and the categories have been greatly expanded from women’s, men’s, and unisex fashion brands to kids, beauty, and jewelry brands.


First, Starfield Hanam will additionally open women’s popular fashion brands ‘LAP’, ‘Mill Studio’, shoe and accessory brand targeting women in their 20s and 30s ‘Pomel Camelle’, and kids’ shoe select shop ‘Tobokseu’. Starfield Goyang has diversified its product range from women’s fashion brands such as ‘Mono & Milky’ and ‘Nine’ to jewelry, innerwear, and shoe accessories including ‘Minigold’, ‘Sera’, and ‘Venus Plus’.


COEX Mall presents trendy fashion brands through a lineup including men’s casual brand ‘Project M’, unisex casual ‘Dickies’, and consistently popular women’s fashion brands such as ‘Roem’, ‘Lucky Chouette’, ‘Nanningu’, and ‘Misso’.


When you enter Starfield in the search bars of SSG.com and Naver Shopping, the same products from 30 offline store brands located in Starfield Hanam, Goyang, and COEX Mall will be displayed. Once consumers complete their orders, the products are individually shipped by courier from the respective Starfield stores.


Shinsegae Property will support marketing activities such as discount promotions to ensure that the opening and expansion of the online store lead to actual sales growth. A coupon discount promotion of up to 20% will be offered on some products from each brand.


In the future, Shinsegae Property plans to increase the number of brands participating in the Naver Shopping and SSG.com online stores to about 100 by the first half of next year and significantly expand online sales.
