[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] The reunion of the female three-member ballad group SeeYa, who announced earlier this year that they would come back as a "complete group," has fallen through.
On the 25th, Nam Gyuri's side stated, "We tried to reunite SeeYa, but the respective agencies could not reach an agreement on the activities."
They added, "Nam Gyuri currently has no agency, and her drama filming is scheduled to end in early December, so there is no obstacle to SeeYa's activities," and expressed, "We apologize to the fans."
Kim Yeonji's side also said, "To realize the project, both our agency and Kim Yeonji actively participated in the project, but since it was difficult to coordinate opinions among the three agencies, we agreed to halt the project."
They continued, "We are sorry to deliver disappointing news to the fans who trusted and waited for us."
Leader Lee Boram's side has not yet made any statements.
Meanwhile, SeeYa debuted in 2006 with "Yeoin-ui Hyanggi" (A Woman's Scent) and released hit songs such as "Michin Sarang-ui Norae" (Crazy Love Song), "Sarang-ui Insa" (Love's Greeting), "Gudu" (Shoes), "Seulpeun Balgeoreum" (Sad Footsteps), "Geuraedo Joha" (Still Like You), and "Jeong" (Affection). However, they disbanded after their final performance in January 2011.
Later, they gained attention by appearing on JTBC's "Sugarman 3" last February. At that time, there was a request for reunion, and in March, it was announced that "the three members and the companies met several times to discuss the reunion" and that a project album would be released around April to May this year.
