Gwangju Shinsegae Provides 10 Million Won Support to Mongolian Migrants in Crisis

Gwangju Shinsegae explained that it decided to provide support after hearing a heartbreaking story from the Asia Bright Community, an organization supporting multicultural families and North Korean defectors, on the 17th.

The couple Nyamsureng Enghchimek (47, female) and Sunny (47), who married in 2007, underwent repeated artificial insemination in Mongolia and Korea but were unable to have a child until they succeeded in conceiving a precious life at Gwangju Ciel Women's Hospital in 2015.

However, their child was born prematurely and frequently hospitalized in Korea, causing financial difficulties. To make matters worse, Nyamsureng Enghchimek was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. The couple urgently underwent cancer surgery with the help of acquaintances, but it was difficult to raise funds for chemotherapy.

Upon learning of this heartbreaking story, Gwangju Shinsegae made a generous decision to support 10 million won in medical expenses.
