Decision to Indefinitely Postpone Considering Nationwide COVID-19 Spread
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] The Yeosu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman Park Yong-ha) announced that the 'New Hall Completion Ceremony' scheduled for the 4th of next month has been postponed indefinitely in consideration of the nationwide spread of COVID-19.
The Yeosu Chamber of Commerce and Industry had originally planned to hold the new hall completion ceremony at around 11 a.m. on the 4th of next month at the Chamber Hall on the first floor of the new Yeosu Chamber of Commerce and Industry building, inviting heads of major institutions, organizations, and businesspeople to mark a new beginning for the Yeosu Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
However, as the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases has rapidly increased nationwide recently, the Yeosu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, after much deliberation on whether to hold the ceremony, decided not to hold it forcibly and postponed it indefinitely considering the COVID-19 situation.
A representative of the Yeosu Chamber of Commerce and Industry said, "Although the new hall was completed on August 21, the ceremony date had been continuously postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, and preparations were made to hold the completion ceremony on the 4th of next month. However, as COVID-19 has again entered a spreading phase not only in Yeosu, Suncheon, and Gwangyang but nationwide, we regretfully decided to postpone it indefinitely."
