[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] InfraWare, a company specializing in office software (SW), announced on the 25th that it has been selected as an excellent company under the Work Innovation Incentive Program organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
InfraWare was recognized for its voluntary and proactive efforts in work innovation at the awards ceremony of the '5th Work-Life Balance Conference' held yesterday at the SETEC Convention Hall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and was selected as an excellent company specializing in telecommuting. InfraWare was also selected as an excellent company utilizing telecommuting by the Ministry of Employment and Labor in June.
The Work Innovation Incentive Program is a certification system granted to companies that induce work innovation by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Labor Foundation. Companies voluntarily establish and implement work innovation plans, and based on the evaluation of the results, excellent companies are selected in two categories: general work innovation and telecommuting specialization. Companies selected as excellent in telecommuting specialization receive various incentives such as exemption from regular labor inspections for three years, support of up to 20 million KRW for work innovation infrastructure establishment, and preferential interest rates.
InfraWare practices work-life balance by implementing various flexible work systems such as rotational telecommuting and staggered working hours based on a non-face-to-face collaboration tool system. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, the company has expanded flexible work systems within the company and encourages all employees to telecommute or work remotely at least once a week.
To increase the use rate of annual leave, InfraWare operates various internal systems considering employee convenience, such as 'half-day leave' and 'sandwich leave,' and has abolished ranks and introduced English titles to promote a horizontal organizational culture.
Yoon Jeonghee, Head of InfraWare's Gyeongwon Support Office, said, "We have implemented various convenience systems to enhance employees' work-life balance and established a collaboration tool system to ensure smooth work even remotely," adding, "As the flexible work system has been stably established, work efficiency and productivity have also increased."
She continued, "As the COVID-19 situation has prolonged, telecommuting, which was once the new normal, is now becoming the norm," and said, "We will continue to strive to improve the quality of life of our employees and create an innovative work environment."
