[Asia Economy Reporter Kum Boryeong] Hyundai Motor Securities is conducting non-face-to-face (untact) lectures for its employees.
On the 25th, Hyundai Motor Securities announced that it held the 'New Normal Open Class' to alleviate COVID-19 blues and boost employee morale. COVID-19 blue is a term combining COVID-19 and 'blue,' meaning depression.
In the lecture held online the day before, Jeon Mi-young, a research fellow at Seoul National University and author of 'Trend Korea 2021,' explained the review of this year's consumption trends and the outlook for next year's consumption trends.
This lecture is a newly revamped program based on the existing in-house lecture program called 'Insight Forum.' In the first New Normal Open Class, a special lecture titled 'The Power that Moves People, the Power of Empathy' was given by psychiatrist Jung Hye-shin.
Hyundai Motor Securities explained that this lecture was so popular that the recruitment of 200 participants on a first-come, first-served basis was filled early.
Han Seok-hee, head of the HR department at Hyundai Motor Securities, said, "This year, corporate in-house communication programs have reached a new turning point due to COVID-19," adding, "We will continue to expand untact programs to strengthen the capabilities of our employees."
