Sinan-gun Jangsan-myeon Women's Association, Volunteer Activity Sharing Love Kimchi Making


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Seo Young-seo] The Women's Association of Jangsan-myeon, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do (President Kim Mae-ja) announced on the 25th that from the 22nd to the 24th (for three days), more than 30 members participated in a volunteer activity called 'Sharing Love Kimchi Making' for neighbors in need at the Jangsan-myeon Senior Welfare Center.


Through this volunteer activity organized by the Jangsan-myeon Women's Association, 1,120 heads of kimchi, made directly by the members, were delivered to about 160 households in need, including elderly living alone, low-income families, and people with disabilities in the community.


Kim Mae-ja, president of the Women's Association, said, "I am grateful to the members who actively participated despite the COVID-19 situation," and added, "We will continue to carry out volunteer activities for neighbors facing difficulties to make Jangsan-myeon a better and warmer community full of affection."


Kim Yong-buk, head of Jangsan-myeon, said, "I deeply thank the members of the Women's Association who carried out the Sharing Love Kimchi Making volunteer activity in the cold weather, enabling neighbors in need to enjoy warm and delicious kimchi," and added, "We will do our best to provide courage and hope by continuously paying attention to and supporting the shaded and marginalized neighbors."
