Customized Disaster Risk Awareness Diagnostic Test for District Residents Conducted Remotely Until December ▲Natural Disasters ▲Social Disasters ▲Life Safety 3 Disaster Areas, 15 Fields, Total 45 Questions ... Awareness Diagnostic Results Utilized as Big Data for Systematic National Safety Education

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Changwoo Lee) is promoting a "Customized Disaster Risk Awareness Diagnostic Test for Residents" targeting elementary school students and residents until December.

This test is designed to diagnose residents' response capabilities through individual disaster risk awareness assessments and to set the direction for safety education, providing efficient, customized education for disaster accident prevention.

The test items consist of a total of 45 questions across 15 fields in three disaster areas: ▲Natural Disasters ▲Social Disasters ▲Daily Safety.

First, the natural disaster area includes typhoons/winds, heavy rain/floods, heavy snow/cold waves, heatwaves, and earthquakes. The social disaster area consists of collapse/explosions, fires, traffic, passenger ships, fine dust, and infectious diseases such as COVID-19.

The daily safety area covers electricity, gas, elevators, first aid, and outdoor activities. Questions are selected and presented based on national action guidelines for disaster situations in each area to diagnose response capabilities in crisis situations.

Due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, for elementary students, the test is conducted using mobile and online (PC) platforms linked with remote classes at pre-registered schools. Residents can participate by scanning the QR codes on posters posted at multi-use facilities, public facilities, and apartment complexes in 15 neighborhoods.

The district provides participants with personalized reports consisting of comprehensive results, area-specific test results, video question explanation lectures, and key summaries for each disaster.

Additionally, separate result analysis reports are provided to teachers and school principals who conducted the tests to objectively assess the disaster awareness vulnerability areas of the respective classes and schools.

In the future, the district plans to utilize the diagnostic results as big data to serve as basic data for systematic national safety education promotion.

Yook Hyun Yu, the Safety and Disaster Officer, said, "Through the results of this awareness diagnostic test, we aim to provide customized safety education that thoroughly protects residents from everyday risks," adding, "We will continue to do our best to realize Dongjak as a safe city that prioritizes the lives and property of its residents."
