[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] Gyeongsangbuk-do held an opening ceremony for the 6th Industry 'Antenna Shop' at the basement level 1 of Lotte Department Store Yeongdeungpo Branch on the morning of the 25th and officially began its operation.

The opening ceremony was attended by about 10 people, including Lee Cheol-woo, Governor of Gyeongsangbuk-do, Kim Dae-su, Head of Lotte Department Store Metropolitan Area Headquarters, and representatives of 6th industry production companies.

The 'Antenna Shop' is a test space and sales venue operated to understand consumer tendencies and responses to products produced by certified 6th industry companies in the province and to reflect them in product planning and production. Currently, six locations (Daebek Plaza, E-Mart Gyeongsan, Gumi, Wolbae, Pohang, and Daegu Shinsegae Department Store) are in operation in Daegu and Gyeongbuk.

The 6th industry products sold at Lotte Department Store this time include about 400 products from 49 companies such as mushrooms, traditional Korean sweets, and traditional sauces, selected mainly based on products with good consumer responses at existing Antenna Shops and having undergone strict quality evaluation by experts. Various events such as lucky box giveaways, 1+1 promotions on some items, and raffle draws will also be held for customers visiting the Antenna Shop during the opening event.

Additionally, to ensure smooth operation of the Antenna Shop, Gyeongsangbuk-do and Lotte Department Store signed a business agreement to support the distribution channels of Gyeongbuk agricultural specialties, activate marketing, and discover excellent farms and agricultural products.

Governor Lee Cheol-woo stated, "With the new opening of the Antenna Shop at Lotte Department Store Yeongdeungpo Branch, we will do our best to expand the distribution channels of excellent agricultural products from Gyeongbuk and to revitalize the Antenna Shop with a variety of high-quality products."

Meanwhile, the 6th industry is an industry that promotes regional economic revitalization through the convergence of the secondary industry of manufacturing and processing and the tertiary industry of experience and tourism by utilizing rural resources. Currently, there are 219 certified management entities in Gyeongsangbuk-do.

The Gyeongbuk Antenna Shop started with sales of 500 million KRW in 2015 and showed about a fourfold increase in sales to 1.9 billion KRW last year, greatly contributing to the income increase of local farms.
