According to Dongshin University on the 24th, as of this date, all 30 second-year students, all 29 third-year students, and 29 fourth-year students except one who changed their career path have passed the final military officer selection exam.
Since its establishment in 2014, the Military Science Department at Dongshin University has boasted the highest pass rate nationwide for the officer selection exam, setting a new record with 100% commissioning as officers from the first graduating class in 2018 through the third graduating class this year.
Despite adverse conditions with limited face-to-face classes due to COVID-19, all second and third-year students and 17 out of 26 first-year students succeeded in passing the exam.
In particular, all female students who took the Honam region military officer exam?7 first-year and 6 second-year students?passed.
The Military Science Department at Dongshin University accounted for 46% of all first-year passers (15 students) and 21% of all second-year passers (28 students) in the Honam region, demonstrating its strength as a prestigious department.
Passing the military officer selection exam guarantees commissioning as a second lieutenant, equivalent to a grade 7 public official, with support covering four years of university tuition and additional allowances.
