Emergency Duty System Initiated for Prevention of Natural Disasters Such as Heavy Snow and Cold Waves

During this countermeasure period, to prevent safety accidents among visitors and minimize damage to park facilities caused by various natural disasters such as heavy snow and cold waves, all staff will maintain an emergency disaster response system according to weather conditions and strengthen on-site patrols in disaster-prone areas. In addition, by operating a disaster safety situation room, they plan to make every effort to prevent various disasters and safety accidents.

Baek Chungyeol, Head of the Visitor Facilities Division, urged, "In winter, since the sun sets early, temperatures drop sharply, and visibility becomes poor, it is important to safely descend before sunset. Before hiking, visitors should thoroughly prepare personal safety equipment such as checking weather information, headlamps, and emergency food supplies."
