[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] The seventh series of South Korea's representative animation loved by the entire nation, Pororo, titled "Porong Porong Pororo Season 7," will be exclusively broadcast on SK Broadband's Btv.
According to SK Broadband on the 23rd, "Porong Porong Pororo" is a full 3D animation for toddlers jointly produced by SK Broadband, ICONIX Co., Ltd., OCON, and EBS. Since its first broadcast in November 2003, the Pororo series has become South Korea's representative animation with over a thousand episodes produced, including six main seasons and various special series over 17 years.
The newly released main series after four years, "Porong Porong Pororo Season 7," focuses on enhancing the unique charm of the existing characters under the theme of "making Pororo even more Pororo-like," emphasizing the fun that only Pororo can offer.
Season 7, consisting of a total of 25 episodes, highlights not only the main character "Pororo" but also surrounding friends such as "Harry," "Loopy," "Eddy," "Tongtong," and "Petty," allowing them to fully express their previously less visible charms. This season introduces a new turtle character named "Jay." With the arrival of the cute sea turtle "Jay" in Porong Porong Village, stories unfolding in the sea are expected to be more diverse than in previous seasons. Additionally, the series incorporates scenes where Pororo and his friends understand and empathize with each other, helping children naturally relate and develop social skills to interact with peers.
"Porong Porong Pororo Season 7" will air on the EBS channel every Monday and Tuesday at 9 a.m. starting November 23. Within 30 minutes after the original broadcast, it will be exclusively available on "B tv" as VoD for six months. It can also be viewed through the Pororo-exclusive section "Pororo World" in B tv ZEM Kids and on "Mobile B tv."
SK Broadband is also holding an event in conjunction with the exclusive release of Pororo Season 7. Viewers can watch Pororo Season 7 with the Super Kids Club monthly subscription. New subscribers to the Super Kids Club monthly plan will receive a 2021 Pororo calendar and mini stickers as gifts. Choi Young-ah, Head of Customer Management Group at SK Broadband, said, "Please look forward to how Pororo, who has consistently received love from Korean children, will capture their hearts this time."
