Gangbuk-gu, December Online Resident Informatization Education


[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Park Gyeom-su) will conduct online informatization education for residents whose leisure activities have been reduced due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.


The courses will be conducted live through two YouTube channels, ‘Gangbuk-gu 1 Education Center’ and ‘Gangbuk-gu 2 Education Center.’ From December 1 to 28, over four weeks, six courses will be offered on Mondays and Wednesdays, and six courses on Tuesdays and Thursdays.


Applicants can attend classes without a separate registration process. After checking the channel name, day, and time of the desired course, they can attend according to the schedule. If there are any questions during the class, participants can communicate with the instructor via the YouTube chat window, and past lectures can be reviewed repeatedly.


On Mondays and Wednesdays, the courses include ▲ Practical OA Utilization ▲ Convenient Internet World in Daily Life ▲ Creating My Own UCC with a Smartphone ▲ Challenge! Getting Friendly with Smartphones ▲ Excel 2010 Practical Calculation Use ▲ Making Animated Videos with PowerPoint.


On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the courses include ▲ Creating Documents Using Hangul 2010 ▲ Various Uses of Smartphones ▲ I’m Also a YouTuber! Video Production ▲ Challenge! Getting Friendly with Computers (Windows 10) ▲ Essential Smartphone Apps for Daily Life ▲ Information Travel via the Internet.


Those who wish to receive notifications such as class time reminders can receive text messages.


The application period is from 9 a.m. on the 23rd to 6 p.m. on the 27th. Applications can be submitted through the Gangbuk-gu Neulbaeum Center website (Informatization Education → Course Registration) or by calling the Gangbuk-gu Resident Informatization Education Call Center.


Mayor Park Gyeom-su of Gangbuk-gu said, “This education was prepared for those who have difficulties using digital devices and programs,” and added, “We will do our best to operate the program so that residents do not suffer from digital exclusion.”
