[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] Due to the escalation of social distancing measures to Level 2 in the Seoul metropolitan area starting from the 24th to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the attendance for the professional baseball Korean Series (KS) will also be reduced to 10%.


On the 22nd, the government decided to raise the social distancing level to Level 2 in the metropolitan area starting at midnight on the 24th. Accordingly, the attendance for the 6th and 7th games of the Korean Series, held at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul at 6:30 PM on the 24th and 25th, will be reduced from the previous 30% to within 10%. The maximum capacity at Gocheok Dome adjusted to 10% is 1,670 people.


The 5th game, held on the 23rd, will proceed as scheduled with 30% attendance, allowing 5,100 spectators.
