Martial Arts Genre to Hold Exhibition and Consultation with 122 Domestic Companies in Dubai on the 24th

[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] The Korea International Trade Association, in collaboration with the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency, will hold the '2020 G-FAIR (Korea Excellent Products Exhibition) Dubai' for three days from the 24th to the 26th in Dubai and Seoul.

Marking the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), this event features 122 outstanding small and medium-sized enterprises from Gyeonggi-do and nine other local governments nationwide, participating in fields such as beauty, health, home appliances, daily necessities, consumer goods, and food, making it the largest Korean product exhibition and consultation event in the Middle East.

The '2020 G-FAIR (Korea Excellent Products Exhibition) Dubai' is organized in a hybrid format of online and offline due to the impact of COVID-19 this year, consisting of video consultations, an online exhibition, and a separate offline sample exhibition hall for each company, aiming to pioneer export routes to the Middle Eastern market.

In the case of video consultations, buyers could not see the products directly, which was a disadvantage, but this was supplemented through the sample exhibition hall. Local buyers can examine the companies' products directly at the sample exhibition hall before participating in video consultations, and domestic companies can visit their own offices or the COEX Startup Branch to conduct consultations. Additionally, even buyers who were not pre-matched can view products and, if interested, have consultations on-site.

The online exhibition is a virtual space built in three dimensions (3D) replicating the actual exhibition hall, equipped with real-time chat and video consultation functions, allowing buyers to comfortably conduct consultations from their own locations. Buyer recruitment is not limited to Dubai or the UAE market but targets the entire Middle East region, with over 2,500 Middle Eastern buyers already pre-registered for the online exhibition alone.

Jo Hak-hee, head of the International Business Division at KITA, said, "There were many difficulties in preparing the event due to COVID-19, but we made every effort to ensure it would be a more substantial and dynamic local event," adding, "We will continue to do our best to help our small and medium-sized enterprises pioneer export routes to the Middle Eastern market."
