[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Ahn Cheol-soo, leader of the People’s Party, criticized on the 22nd, saying, “Despite being the most highly qualified and hardest-working youth in the history of the Republic of Korea, they have not had the opportunity to demonstrate their talents,” and added, “Even the few opportunities available are unfair.”

At the entrance ceremony of the People’s Party Ontact Youth Politics School held at the National Assembly Members’ Office Building that day, Ahn said, “Just looking at the recent ‘In-guk-gong incident,’ many young people must have been truly frustrated.”

Ahn pointed out, “Regular workers feel unfair because irregular workers have had opportunities unfairly; irregular workers feel unfair because some are replaced by regular workers, causing others to be excluded; and job seekers feel unfair because the jobs they have prepared for so long disappear and their opportunities are taken away. This unfairness is making young people struggle even more.”

Ahn stated, “The future is also serious. National debt is increasing, isn’t it? The national debt is a debt that young people will have to repay. The current older generation is using it urgently now,” and added, “Environmental issues are also serious. The environment is being devastated for various reasons, and the burden falls entirely on the youth. Young people must raise their voices.”
