Espolitech Supplies Virus-Blocking Partitions to CSAT Test Sites and More

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Demand for Espolitec's quarantine-related products is increasing ahead of the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) and other exams.

On the 20th, Espolitec announced that it will supply virus-blocking partitions and antibacterial films to nationwide CSAT and teacher certification exam sites, as well as restaurants supported by local governments.

With the CSAT scheduled for the 3rd of next month, Espolitec has begun installing virus-blocking partitions and antibacterial films at major CSAT exam sites through regional education offices across the country. Espolitec is directly supplying 24 high schools including those under the Chungbuk Office of Education and Bucheon Office of Education, while supplies to other regions are being carried out in cooperation with dealerships.

Supply is also expanding to general commercial areas. Through a dealership in Gangwon Province, Espolitec is installing quarantine products in general restaurants supported by Gangwon Province. Recently, as daily COVID-19 cases have risen to the 300s and social distancing has been raised to level 1.5, the importance of quarantine measures has increased again. With the government and local governments recommending the installation of droplet-blocking and preventive products, demand for Espolitec's products is also expected to increase.

Espolitec's quarantine products are recognized for their quality both domestically and internationally. The virus-blocking screens are made of polycarbonate (PC) material and have already been installed at major institutions such as the National Assembly and the Government Sejong Complex.

The antibacterial film was the first in Korea to be developed using PC material and has been certified for 99.99% antibacterial efficacy by the FITI Testing & Research Institute. In particular, it is known that the addition of silver antibacterial agents results in better light transmittance and durability compared to existing products.

An Espolitec official said, "Due to the government and local governments' policy recommending the installation of preventive products, demand for our products is increasing," adding, "We will strive to contribute to preventing virus spread by installing upgraded products tailored to the characteristics of each location."
