Gangnam-gu 'Interior Design Week' Opens on the 20th at Nonhyeon-dong Furniture Street

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jung Soon-gyun) will hold the 'Gangnam Interior Design Week' at 37 stores around the Nonhyeon-dong Furniture Street from the 20th to the 28th to revitalize the depressed commercial district and energize residents exhausted from COVID-19.

This event was planned to satisfy the rapidly growing interest in interior design due to increased time spent at home during the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and to provide a 'breathing space' for interior design workers facing business difficulties.

In particular, the special exhibition hall set up under the theme "Together on the Design Road (路), United to Enjoy the Festival" features various works by furniture designers, including 'Hwaseong Hotel Bellboy,' symbolizing taking a break from COVID-19 in Hwaseong, and 'Is It Crew,' an eco-friendly interior material.

Additionally, visitors can view the 'Gangnam Street Design History,' which captures the history of Nonhyeon-dong Furniture Street, at the Design History Museum.

Moreover, a 'Sale Festa' where visitors can directly see and purchase design accessories on-site and a 'Live Commerce' broadcast, a recently emerging new shopping trend, will be held.

Through this broadcast, products from Hanil Carpet (on the 21st), Le Marble (on the 25th), Daelim Bath (on the 26th), and Royal & Company (on the 27th) can be purchased at discounted prices.
