[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] KOTRA announced on the 12th that it has revamped the official website of the ‘2020 Dubai Expo Korea Pavilion’.
The 2020 Dubai Expo, originally scheduled to be held in October this year, was postponed by one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Dubai Expo, which will take place for six months starting from October next year, will be attended by 192 countries under the theme ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’.
Meanwhile, construction of the Korea Pavilion has been steadily progressing on site in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Korea Pavilion is being built on a large scale under the theme ‘Smart Korea, an Infinite World Presented by Korea.’ It ranks among the top five in size and is located close to the Expo’s central plaza, ensuring excellent accessibility.
KOTRA will begin full-scale promotion of the Korea Pavilion with the website revamp. The website has been improved into a responsive site that enhances user convenience. It is optimized for access from PCs, smartphones, tablets, and other devices.
Additionally, KOTRA linked the Dubai Expo Korea Pavilion website with social media. Information content such as Expo and Korea Pavilion introductions, Korea-UAE relations, and Q&A have been supplemented, and a user event is being held where visitors who post images of the Korea Pavilion on social media will receive gifts.
Gwon Pyung-oh, President of KOTRA and government representative for the 2020 Dubai Expo Korea Pavilion, said, “Although the Expo was postponed by one year, the Korea Pavilion project has continued,” and added, “We will now embark on full-scale domestic and international promotion to achieve successful results.”
