Screening in Korean Wave, 2020 Award Winners, Ulju Mentory, and Meeting the Masters Sections

The drive-in theater scene at the 5th Ulju Mountain Film Festival, which closed on November 1. A special exhibition will be held for three days starting November 27.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The Ulju World Mountain Film Festival (Executive Chairman Bae Chang-ho) will hold a special exhibition with in-person offline screenings.
This special exhibition will take place over three days from November 27 to 29 at the Complex Welcome Center Alps Cinema.
A total of 19 screenings will be held, featuring award-winning films from the 5th Ulju World Mountain Film Festival, which concluded on November 1, including the Korean Wave section, Ulju-mentary, and the "Meeting with Masters" section.
With COVID-19 social distancing lowered to level 1, GV (Guest Visit), film commentary, and post-screening talks, which were restricted during non-face-to-face operations, will be held this time to add depth and charm to the festival.
In the newly established Korean independent film flow, Korean Wave section this year, films such as House of Hummingbird, Secret Garden, Baseball Girl, Wind Chill, Our House, Moonlit Winter, House of the Missing, and Beginner's Class will be screened.
GV sessions featuring director Kim Yuri and actress Ok Subun of Wind Chill, and director Park Seonju and actor Jeon Seokho of Secret Garden are also prepared.
There is also an opportunity to revisit the award-winning films from the 2020 Ulju World Mountain Film Festival.
The grand prize winner And Evening Comes, the Alpinism and Climbing award Last Mountain, the Adventure and Exploration award Home, the Nature and People award Mother of the Land, the Jury Special Prize Last Ascent, and Yak in the Classroom, which received the Netpac Award and the Youth Jury Special Prize, are ready to meet audiences again.
At this special exhibition, not only will you hear the directors' acceptance speeches, but also side stories of the film Last Mountain told by mountaineers Kwak Jeong-hye and Kim Mi-gon are prepared.
Ulju people’s stories, Ulju-mentary, will be screened. Hodong Grandma Park Malsang, Industrial Complex Dandelion, Again, and A Blacksmith’s Resolution will be presented. There will also be time to preview the films with the production and cast members and listen to stories about the films.
In the Meeting with Masters section, Truffle Hunters, Bears Are Coming, Gongsan Youngwoo, Manchun, Dream Andes, and Indiana Monrovia will feature film commentary and post-screening talks to enhance the enjoyment of the films.
The screening of the classic masterpiece Manchun by director Ozu Yasujir? is scheduled along with film commentary by domestic master director Bae Chang-ho (Executive Chairman of the Ulju World Mountain Film Festival), making it worth anticipating the ensemble of these two masters.
This special exhibition will be conducted in accordance with COVID-19 quarantine guidelines, with social distancing applied between seats. From the 13th, film information and screening schedules will be released on the official website, and reservations will be available from the 19th on the official website.
