As of 2:56 PM that day, Bitcoin on the virtual currency exchange Upbit recorded 16,151,000 KRW, up 1.2% (192,000 KRW) from the previous day. The trading volume was 76.158 billion KRW.
Most major virtual currencies on Upbit were on the rise. Ethereum (0.36%), Ripple (1.12%), EOS (1.5%), ADA (0.93%), and Bitcoin Cash (1.69%) all increased.
At the same time, on another virtual currency exchange Huobi Korea, Bitcoin was 16,167,000 KRW, up 2.3% from the previous day. The day's high was 16,245,000 KRW.
On Huobi Korea, Ethereum (4.45%), EOS (2.27%), and Bitcoin Cash (3.96%) showed strong performance.
Overseas, major virtual currencies including Bitcoin were also on the rise. According to CoinMarketCap, a virtual currency market data company, Bitcoin was $14,269.92, up 2.89% from 24 hours earlier. Along with this, Ethereum (4.5%), Ripple (0.4%), Bitcoin Cash (0.89%), and Litecoin (2.83%) also increased.
