Multicultural Awareness Improvement through 'Da(Ga)chi Multicultural Festival' and 'Online Family Party' Held in Two Parts
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) is hosting a virtual family festival.
The district announced that it will hold an online family festival throughout November to improve awareness of multicultural families.
The virtual family festival is divided into two parts. The first part, until the 15th, is themed "Da(Ga)chi Multicultural Festival," featuring a multicultural awareness campaign, cooking and gaming multicultural experiences.
To participate, for the multicultural awareness campaign, participants write a pledge comment on the Jungnang-gu Healthy Family and Multicultural Family Support Center blog post, expressing their commitment to improving multicultural awareness. The first 100 participants will receive a small gifticon.
The "Cooking and Gaming Multicultural Experience" allows participants to apply for a kit to experience multicultural cooking and games via a Google Form link, then visit the center in person to receive the kit. Registration opens on the 2nd for the first 100 families. Among participants, the first 10 who post activity photos and comments on the blog will receive a small prize.
From November 16 to 29, the second part, the virtual family party "Let's Play Together," will take place. "Let's Play Together" consists of various family leisure culture programs designed to foster a healthy year-end leisure culture and create a family-friendly environment.
Main activities include screening a video introducing the Jungnang-gu Healthy Family and Multicultural Family Support Center titled "Play That Center," hands-on activities in the "Room Corner Experience Hall" where families make worry dolls, dreamcatchers, and year-end trees together at home, and "Find the Hidden Center," where participants upload photos related to the center’s building and signboards to receive prizes.
