[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Songpa-gu (Mayor Park Seong-su) will hold the '2020 Songpa Welfare Forum' live on November 3rd under the theme 'Future Songpa Welfare, Finding Answers in Overcoming COVID-19!'
Every year, the district has hosted welfare fairs and festivals to spend time with residents, but this year, due to COVID-19, it planned the 'Ontact Songpa Welfare Forum' to be conducted via live broadcast.
This forum, organized by Songpa-gu and the Songpa-gu Community Social Security Council, is designed to anticipate the roles and challenges of future Songpa welfare in the post-COVID-19 era, where traditional face-to-face social welfare environments are shifting to non-face-to-face care services.
The '2020 Songpa Welfare Forum' will be held online via live broadcast from 3 to 5 p.m. on November 3rd at the Songpa-gu Office auditorium.
First, Professor Choi Young-jun of Yonsei University will present on 'Social Environmental Changes After Post-COVID-19,' and Bang Dae-wook, CEO of the Next Generation Foundation, will speak on 'COVID-19, Changed Roles and Challenges in the Social Welfare Field.'
Additionally, Committee Member Kim Seong-tae (Adjunct Professor at Seoul Han Young University, Director of Songpa-gu Disabled Vocational Rehabilitation Support Center) will serve as moderator, and social welfare field practitioners from Songpa-gu (child and youth, elderly, disabled, health and medical, community welfare) will participate as panelists to share COVID-19 overcoming cases and engage in discussions and debates on future changes.
The forum will be broadcast live on the YouTube channel (SongpaTV), and real-time comment participation via chat room will be available.
Songpa-gu Mayor Park Seong-su stated, “Through this 'Songpa Welfare Forum,' we hope to find opportunities to transcend the limitations of welfare services during the COVID-19 pandemic and discover directions for paradigm shifts and development,” adding, “Based on the alternatives presented during the discussions, we will strive to build a more robust social safety net.”
