[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Changwon City in Gyeongnam plans to support 'online marketing promotion costs' for small business owners experiencing financial difficulties.

The city will conduct the support project from the 2nd to the 20th of next month to address adverse conditions such as the rapidly increasing preference for online shopping malls and delivery orders, as well as the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

The project targets small business owners in Changwon City and plans to support 600,000 KRW when spending more than 750,000 KRW on online marketing promotions such as ▲keyword and banner advertisements ▲social marketing ▲online shopping malls ▲brokerage platforms.

Applications are only possible online through the Changwon City website, and support will be provided to a total of 600 companies. Small business owners wishing to apply for this project should submit proof of spending over 750,000 KRW on online marketing promotion costs along with promotional image content. After reviewing the submitted documents, 600,000 KRW will be paid.

Kim Bu-sik, Director of the Economic Revitalization Division, said, “I hope this will be a small help to local small business owners struggling due to the resurgence of COVID-19,” and added, “We will continue to prepare various support projects so that small business owners can regain vitality.”
