[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] The People Power Party decided on the 28th to attend President Moon Jae-in's policy speech explaining the 2021 budget proposal.
Choi Hyung-doo, the party's floor spokesperson, stated in a briefing after a members' meeting held at the National Assembly that morning, "We will enter the plenary session hall, attach placards in front, and express our protest."
Choi added, "We will remain seated throughout the policy speech," and said, "Floor leader Joo Ho-young has conveyed the people's will and the opposition's requests twice so far, but there has been no response. We will convey the message questioning whether this is the (communication) method the president mentioned."
Choi also said, "We will relay this message again when the Speaker of the National Assembly and the leaders of both parties meet with the president," adding, "We have yet to receive any response from the Blue House."
