[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The public rental apartment "The Happier Housing" supplied in Chungnam has been selected as a Chungnam-type leading model. Leading models are selected to discover policies and projects that can be proposed as national policies or spread nationwide from Chungnam.
According to Chungnam Province on the 28th, the provincial policy advisory committee recently selected "The Happier Housing" as this year's best Chungnam-type leading model project. This project has been introduced and promoted as a solution to overcome low birth rates.
The core of the project is to reduce the rent according to the number of children born after newlywed couples move into The Happier Housing. For example, when a newlywed couple moves in and has their first child, 50% of the monthly rent is discounted, and when they have a second child, the rent is fully waived.
The Happier Housing is currently being built with 600 households in the Asan Baebang Woljeon district, and recruitment of residents is scheduled to begin in September next year. The rental period for this housing is basically 6 years, but can be extended up to 10 years depending on whether children are born.
The housing deposit is set between 30 million KRW (36㎡) and 50 million KRW (59㎡), and the monthly rent is expected to be between 90,000 KRW and 150,000 KRW.
The province plans to supply a total of 1,000 households of The Happier Housing in the region, including the Asan Baebang Woljeon district, by 2022.
Meanwhile, the policy advisory committee also selected excellent policy and project models such as free high school education, eco-friendly free school meals, support for middle school freshmen's uniform costs as the three major free education policies, the establishment of the Chungnam Happiness Allowance, and support for four major social insurance premiums for small business owners.
