[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] Uljin County, Gyeongbuk, announced on the 27th that it held the Power Plant Surrounding Area Support Project Deliberation Regional Committee (Chairman Jeong Hyun-pyo, Deputy County Governor) and reviewed and approved the business plan for the next year.
At the deliberation committee held on the 26th in the large conference room of Uljin County Office, Uljin County allocated 2 billion KRW (implemented by Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power) for the electricity bill subsidy project out of the total nuclear power budget of 14.646 billion KRW, 2.995 billion KRW for five educational projects, and 3.328 billion KRW for 12 county-implemented projects (such as public social welfare projects).
Additionally, for the eup/myeon regional projects, the budget was finalized for a total of 101 projects: 491 million KRW for 20 projects in Uljin-eup, 3.11 billion KRW for 20 projects in Buk-myeon, 1.467 billion KRW for 24 projects in Jukbyeon-myeon, and 1.264 billion KRW for 20 projects in seven other eup/myeon areas surrounding the region.
Furthermore, two projects related to Samcheok Power received 17 million KRW, and four projects related to Hyeonjongsan Wind Power received 30 million KRW, both reviewed and approved as originally planned. This business plan by Uljin County will be formally submitted to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and will proceed through the confirmation process.
