Busan Bank Receives Innovation Finance Award at the 5th Financial Day Ceremony

Contributions to Excellent Tech-Finance Support and Blockchain-Based Innovative Finance Promotion

Financial Day is a commemorative day established to reflect on the role and responsibility of finance and to encourage financial sector workers. Awards are given to individuals and organizations who have contributed to innovation finance, inclusive finance, and savings and investment sectors.

At the ceremony, Busan Bank was honored with a commendation in the innovation finance category in recognition of its contributions to innovation finance, including ▲ the largest scale of technology finance support among regional banks ▲ promotion of blockchain-based innovative financial services ▲ operation of a dedicated technology finance organization and training of specialized personnel ▲ continuous expansion of technology-based investments.

Busan Bank established the ‘Innovation Finance Promotion Team’ last year to revitalize innovation finance and is supporting innovation finance. As of the end of 2019, it achieved a technology finance evaluation amount of approximately 4.59 trillion won, taking the lead in supporting excellent local small and medium-sized technology enterprises.
