"Autumn Remarks Will Become the 28th National Assembly Lie"
Minister Chu: "Moon Is Not the Type to Deliver Messages Through Unofficial Channels"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] Professor Seo Min of Dankook University College of Medicine, author of 'A Country Never Experienced Before' (Joguk Heukseo), strongly criticized Minister of Justice Choo Mi-ae as "a master of lies who lied 27 times in the National Assembly." He sarcastically criticized Choo's remark at the National Assembly audit that "I know President Moon Jae-in well."
In a post on his Facebook on the 26th, Professor Seo pointed out, "Choo Mi-ae claimed that she knows President Moon Jae-in well and declared that the statement made by President Moon to Prosecutor General Yoon after the general election, namely 'Fulfill your duties while serving your term,' which Yoon mentioned at the audit, was a lie."
He continued, "(Minister Choo) is a person who insisted that it was not a lie even when the lie was exposed through the disclosure of KakaoTalk messages," adding, "That statement is likely to be Choo's 28th lie in the National Assembly."

Earlier, on the 22nd, Prosecutor General Yoon appeared at the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee's audit of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office and emphasized that he had no intention of resigning. When questioned by Yoon Han-hong, a member of the People Power Party, whether the pressure to resign was due to the loss of investigative authority, Yoon responded, "The term is a promise to the people," and said, "No matter what pressure there is, I will fulfill my duties." Yoon's term lasts until July next year.
He added, "Regarding the issue of my position, there has been no word from the appointing authority (President Moon)," and "I was asked through a messenger by President Moon to complete my term."
Regarding President Moon's request at last year's Prosecutor General appointment ceremony to "investigate even the living power strictly," Yoon emphasized, "I believe that President Moon still holds the same view now as he did then."
Minister Choo rebutted these remarks by Prosecutor General Yoon at the comprehensive audit of the Ministry of Justice held by the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee on the 26th.
Minister Choo said, "As the party leader, I had many opportunities to meet the President, and I am relatively well acquainted with his character," adding, "He is not the type of person to convey any message or intention through unofficial channels, skipping the formal reporting line."
She then pointed out, "I think it is very inappropriate for a high-ranking official (Prosecutor General Yoon) to make such unverified statements in such a setting."
