[Breaking] Naju City Hall Official Tests Positive After Working About 2 Weeks Despite Showing Symptoms

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Ju-hyung] On the 26th, the city of Naju announced that one colleague of a public official confirmed with COVID-19 has also tested positive for the virus.

The confirmed individual, Mr. A (Jeonnam 183), tested positive in a COVID-19 test conducted that morning. He is known to work in the same department as Mr. B (Jeonnam 182), a Naju city public official who had been isolated after testing positive.

Mr. B, who had lunch on the 14th at a restaurant in Naju sitting close to the Seoul Songpa-gu 365th confirmed case, initially tested negative in the first test but developed fever and cold symptoms last week and tested positive in the second test.

Despite showing suspected COVID-19 symptoms, Mr. B continued his work and daily life for nearly two weeks, raising the likelihood of additional public officials testing positive.
