BMW Driving Center Surpasses 1 Million Cumulative Visitors

[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] The cumulative number of visitors to the BMW Driving Center, a complex automotive cultural space operated by BMW Group Korea, surpassed 1 million on the 25th.

Opened in August 2014, the BMW Driving Center is the world's only automotive complex cultural space within the BMW Group that houses both a track and customer experience facilities in one location. It is also the first driving center in the Asia region within the group and the third to be established after Germany and the United States.

BMW invested approximately 89.5 billion KRW in the Driving Center, including an initial 77 billion KRW and an additional 12.5 billion KRW for expansion. Currently, within an area of 291,802 m², it features a 2.6 km driving track and off-road course, test drive experience facilities, exhibition spaces showcasing models from all BMW Group brands including BMW, MINI, BMW Motorrad, and Rolls-Royce, a delivery zone offering a special vehicle handover experience, and the Junior Campus operated by the BMW Korea Future Foundation.

Additionally, it is equipped with a restaurant, cafeteria, and a service center providing maintenance and airport services, making it the premier facility in the domestic automotive industry accessible to the general public. It also houses the BMW Training Academy for internal staff education and R&D facilities, playing a significant role within BMW Group Korea.

As of the 25th, the cumulative number of program participants at the BMW Driving Center reached approximately 146,000. The total driving distance covered by these participants amounts to about 4.08 million kilometers, equivalent to circling the Earth over 101 times. The Junior Campus, a science creativity education program for children, has also been actively operated with around 76,000 participants.
