[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] On the 26th, the Sinan Office of Education announced that on the 23rd, more than 40 people from related organizations including elementary, middle, and high school staff, Sinan County Youth Counseling and Welfare Center, and Mokpo Police Station participated in a school violence prevention and smoking cessation campaign held at the traditional market in Jido-eup, Sinan.


The campaign was jointly conducted by public and private sectors to raise awareness among local residents and merchants about school violence and to promote a positive atmosphere in local schools.


The staff received great responses by directly distributing specially made school violence prevention promotional materials and masks to local residents and students.


Kim Jae-heung, the Superintendent of Education, said, “I hope this campaign with the Sinan community will help foster a proper understanding of school violence prevention and the spread of a smoking cessation culture,” and added, “We plan to continue joint campaigns with related organizations for school violence prevention and smoking cessation in the region.”
