[Asia Economy Reporter Park Byung-hee] The Seoul Arts Center announced on the 26th that the performance "One Day in October" on the 30th is sold out, and additional choir seats will be opened.
"One Wonderful Day in October" is a performance featuring baritone Kim Dong-gyu, musical actress Jung Sun-ah, jazz vocalist Go Ara, and soprano Kim Na-young, presenting famous opera arias, musical numbers, pop, jazz, and chansons. The Korea Coop Orchestra, conducted by Kim Bong-mi, will perform. The subtitle of the performance is "An Autumn Journey with Kim Dong-gyu."
The Seoul Arts Center stated that since all 1,000 seats on the 1st to 3rd floors of the Concert Hall, which opened in mid-September, were sold out, about 130 choir seats will be additionally opened at 11 a.m. on the 27th.
The choir seats are relatively cheaper compared to the 1st and 2nd-floor seats but have the great advantage of surrounding the stage, allowing the audience to be closer to the performers. On the day of the additional ticket opening, sales will be temporarily suspended from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the 27th for preparation.
This performance will feature famous arias from operas such as "One Wonderful Day in October," Korean songs, and Rossini's opera "The Barber of Seville," including "Largo al factotum" ("I am the factotum of this street").
Kim Dong-gyu and Jung Sun-ah will sing "Tonight" from the musical "West Side Story" together, and the audience can also enjoy the overture from "The Barber of Seville" and "The Phantom of the Opera" from the musical "The Phantom of the Opera."
Tickets can be reserved through the Seoul Arts Center call center and website.
