Kibo Provides Free Legal Consultation Support for Local Residents

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Jung Yoon-mo, hereinafter referred to as Kibo) announced on the 26th that it is providing free legal consultations to local residents who are struggling due to economic difficulties and cannot afford legal services.

An in-house lawyer who has been handling various legal issues at Kibo for a long time offers free consultation services once a month through prior reservation to local residents on financial legal issues such as creditor-debtor matters, contract-related disputes including amendments to the Three Lease Laws, and family law.

Following the first free legal consultation held in September, on the 22nd, two in-house lawyers visited the Gamman General Social Welfare Center to provide consultations on various legal issues, including lease relationships, to underprivileged groups.

Considering the positive response to the free legal consultation service, Kibo plans to also offer free consultation services in tax and accounting fields by utilizing in-house tax accountants and certified public accountants.

Attorney Lee Kyung-min of Kibo, who participated in this free legal consultation service, said, "The suffering of residents excluded from legal services due to economic problems was greater than expected," and added, "We want to help solve local residents' legal issues through more detailed outreach services."
