[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] Traders, the "open warehouse-style discount store" that opened its first store in November 2010, announced on the 26th that it has prepared various events to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

From the 26th to the 1st of next month, Traders will offer up to 50% discounts on representative popular products as well as 10th anniversary special products.

First, as discount products for Samsung Card customers, fresh and processed foods, which are at the core of Traders' growth, will be sold at discounted prices, and various kitchen, household, and home appliance products will be prepared at special prices.

For example, the popular product "Australian Frozen LA-style Ribs (2.3kg)," which ranks in the top 10 in Traders' annual meat sales, will be sold at 64,800 KRW with a 5,000 KRW discount. The premium tangerines "High-Sugar Tangerines from Gyullimwon (3.4kg)," which have 2-3 Brix higher sweetness than regular tangerines, will be sold at 10,880 KRW with a 3,000 KRW discount.

Additionally, "CJ Rice Cake Galbi Steak (1.15kg)" will be offered at 14,980 KRW with a 3,000 KRW discount, and "1866 Blonde (500ml x 8 cans)" will be available at 9,980 KRW with a 1,500 KRW discount.

In line with the home meal trend, the discount on tableware has been increased, offering "Villeroy & Boch Goblet Glasses" at 44,800 KRW with a 15,000 KRW discount, and Traders' top storage product "Multipurpose 5-Tier Rack" will be sold at 64,980 KRW with a 5,000 KRW discount.

As special-priced home appliances, a 32-inch curved gaming monitor is prepared in the 100,000 KRW range: the "Lucoms 32" Gaming Monitor (M3201DF)" will be sold at 198,000 KRW with a 60,000 KRW discount, and the "LG CordZero A9200I" will be sold at a final benefit price in the low 600,000 KRW range after card discounts and gift certificate promotions.

Discount benefits are also prepared for Shinsegae Point members.

The "Luxnine Memory Foam Topper" will be sold at 169,800 KRW to 243,800 KRW with a 30,000 to 50,000 KRW discount when accumulating Shinsegae Points. Traders' exclusive product "Hurum Vitality Recharge Red Ginseng Stick" will be sold at 39,900 KRW with a 50% discount.

Various products commemorating the 10th anniversary of the store opening are also introduced.

The anniversary wine "Columbia Crest Private Blend (750ml)" is planned in the 10,000 KRW range and will be sold at 16,480 KRW with a 1,500 KRW discount during the event period. The "T STANDARD The Wine Cellar (12 bottles)," which has more storage capacity than the popular existing wine cellar (8 bottles), will be offered at 139,800 KRW.

The "Shinil Burnout Microfiber Electric Blanket (2-pack)," consisting of single and double size electric blankets, is planned at about 30% cheaper than the regular price at 99,800 KRW.

Meanwhile, Traders has continuously expanded its footprint over the past 10 years and currently operates a total of 19 stores, achieving double-digit growth every year.

Starting with the opening of its first store in Guseong in November 2010 with annual sales of 48.4 billion KRW, Traders reached 1 trillion KRW in sales in 2016, and surpassed 2 trillion KRW in sales in 2019, just three years later. In the first half of this year, Traders achieved sales of 1.3326 trillion KRW, a 20.2% increase compared to the same period last year, and exceeded cumulative sales of 2 trillion KRW as of September.
