In Gyeongnam, COVID-19 Case Confirmed... 40s French National Returning from Abroad On the 21st, academy instructors in the district are undergoing diagnostic tests at a temporary screening clinic for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) set up in front of the Daechi 2-dong Community Service Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. According to Gyeongnam Province on the 24th, a French national male in his 40s residing in Geoje tested positive for COVID-19.


The man entered through Incheon Airport on the 22nd and traveled to his home in Geoje by car.


He was tested for COVID-19 at Geoje Public Health Center on the 23rd and received a positive result on the morning of the 24th. He is currently hospitalized and receiving treatment at Masan Medical Center.


Epidemiological investigation confirmed that there were no other movements or contacts besides the airport and his home.


With this, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the province has increased to 299. Of these, 292 have fully recovered and been discharged, and 7 are currently hospitalized.
