[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Another Republican governor in the United States has declared that they will not support President Donald Trump. The U.S. presidential election is now just three weeks away.
According to U.S. political media, Charlie Baker, the Republican governor of Massachusetts, stated in a press release on the 14th (local time), "I cannot support Donald Trump as president," adding, "I will focus on Massachusetts during the pandemic."
Governor Baker is one of the Republicans who have criticized President Trump. However, until now, he had not revealed his stance on support, but as the election approaches, he has made his position clear.
Earlier in August, Phil Scott, the governor of Vermont, also declared that he would not vote for President Trump.
