[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] It was revealed on the 13th that Seoul National University Law School students are planning a class-action lawsuit against famous beauty YouTuber Han Hye-yeon, who introduced beauty products claiming 'Naedonnaesan (products I bought with my own money)' but was actually sponsored by companies. They plan to hold her liable for damages due to harm caused by the advertisements and mental distress.

Students participating in the Seoul National University Law School 'Class Action Clinic' and the law firm Hannuri are organizing a class-action lawsuit gathering purchasers of the products who suffered mental damages from Han’s false advertisements, and are recruiting participants for the lawsuit through the 'OnlineSosong.com' website.

They are filing the lawsuit against four advertisers?'Positive Hotel - Mediterranean Easy Bag Whole Grain,' 'Dorae Co., Ltd. - Baekseom SL Cream,' 'Jibahills - Troxedem Repair Essence Mist,' and 'Shoopen - E-Land Retail'?as well as Han, for products introduced in Han’s YouTube videos from May last year to April this year.

Han, a former celebrity stylist, runs the YouTube channel 'ShususuTV,' which has up to 860,000 subscribers. Previously, Han claimed 'Naedonnaesan' on her channel while introducing products such as shoes, diet products, and cosmetics. In February, Han also stated, "There are no paid advertisements at all." However, in July, it was revealed that many of Han’s review videos were filmed with corporate advertisements and sponsorships.
