'Radio Show' Yoo Ah-in Gains 15kg... One Month Income "No Money Worries"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] Actor Yoo Ah-in candidly revealed his income. He shared the story of gaining 15kg for a movie role and the background of his stage name.

On the 5th, Yoo Ah-in appeared on KBS CoolFM's "Park Myung-soo's Radio Show" and answered the regular question, "How much do you earn in a month?" by saying, "I earn enough to live without worrying about money."

Yoo Ah-in added, "I have lived doing my best to achieve that. I don't really do financial investments. I have tried my best not to put money at the center of my life."

When asked, "Do you buy everything you want to eat?" he confidently replied, "If possible, I try to do that. I also spend a lot during company dinners," showing a relaxed attitude.

In particular, Yoo Ah-in gained 15kg to appear in the movie "Voice of Silence," which is set to be released on the 15th.

Regarding the movie poster photo, he said, "I had gained 15kg at that time. Both my body and face had gained a lot of weight. I personally chose the poster and picked a photo that didn’t look like me as much as possible, one that didn’t make me look handsome."

He continued, "Now, I have lost the weight through exercise and diet. It feels a bit tiring and tough, but since my profession is acting, I find these extreme experiences interesting to try."

About his stage name Yoo Ah-in, he confessed, "The name is too pretentious. As the years go by, the name becomes more burdensome. The name is too pretty and doesn’t suit me." He added, "There were several candidates, but after some consideration, I chose the name Ah-in. It felt more comfortable, soft, and mysterious."

Meanwhile, Yoo Ah-in will appear in the movie "Voice of Silence," which is scheduled to be released on the 15th.
