[Asia Economy Reporter Hanah Na] Hanul Lee, the son of novelist Lee Oisoo (74), who has been hospitalized since suffering a cerebral hemorrhage last March, shared an update on his father's recovery and current condition.
On the 1st, Hanul, the eldest son of the writer, posted on Twitter, "For our family, the 15th day of the 8th lunar month holds more meaning than Chuseok," adding, "because it is my father's birthday."
Lee Oisoo, who underwent surgery for a cerebral hemorrhage at the end of March, has reportedly shown continuous improvement.
However, according to Hanul, recently his father seems to have difficulty swallowing food and speaking.
Hanul said, "The recovery is taking a long time," and added, "Not long ago, he even developed pneumonia, which required an urgent transfer to a general hospital."
He continued, "I wanted to share good news about my father, but since his condition has not improved much, I could not," and added, "He is still not in very good condition."
Finally, Hanul concluded his message by saying, "I sincerely thank everyone who is waiting for news about my father and praying for his health."
