[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Jang Je-won, a member of the People Power Party, criticized Justice Minister Choo Mi-ae's threat that "if irresponsible forces do not apologize, follow-up measures will be taken," calling it "an outrageous case of the pot calling the kettle black."
On the 30th, Jang said on Facebook, "When investigation-related materials were disclosed and her lies were exposed, Minister Choo not only failed to apologize but even threatened the public and the media," expressing his criticism.
He pointed out, "There is a saying, 'The one who farted gets angry.' Minister Choo's behavior is an outrageous case of the pot calling the kettle black," adding, "She should first take serious responsibility for the lies she told without batting an eye in front of the public."
Regarding Minister Choo's mention of 'follow-up measures,' Jang said, "This is exactly what we want to say," and added, "If there is no proper apology for the lies Minister Choo told, we will take follow-up measures together with the public."
He criticized, "Minister Choo did not stop there and said, 'Why do conservative opposition parties and conservative media relentlessly launch political attacks targeting the Justice Ministers of the Moon Jae-in administration?'" and added, "The highest authority of the party is playing the 'victim role,' as if being politically persecuted."
Jang said, "They are trying to create the most stereotypical frame of 'resistance by the deep-rooted corrupt forces,'" and asked, "I really want to ask, 'Why on earth are all the Justice Ministers of the Moon Jae-in administration like this?' Please recommend a properly qualified Justice Minister."
