Policy Proposal Project "Dongdaemun-gu Youth, Intervening in Daily Life" Launched

Online Forum on Problem-Solving Measures and Support Policies for Discovering Customized Youth Policies until October 18... Utilizing Dongdaemun-gu Youth Policy Network and Policy Experts, Included in the 2020 Dongdaemun-gu Youth Opinion Collection

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor You Deok-yeol) announced that it will promote a policy proposal project to implement customized youth policies that young people can realistically relate to.

The district is conducting an online policy proposal project titled "Dongdaemun-gu Youth, Interfering in Daily Life" until October 18 to create a public forum where young people can freely share ideas to build a happy future for youth.

This online policy proposal project will gather a wide range of opinions, starting from the small and large problems young people face in their daily lives to youth support policies.

Through its own review, the district will select a total of 10 youth proposals and use the Dongdaemun-gu Youth Policy Network (hereinafter Dongcheongnet) and policy experts to elaborate on the proposals, develop them into customized youth policies for Dongdaemun-gu, and publish them in the 2020 Dongdaemun-gu Youth Opinion Collection.

Youth aged 19 to 39 who wish to participate in the policy proposal project can submit their opinions via Dongcheongnet email (ddm.youth@eastse.net).

Mayor You Deok-yeol of Dongdaemun-gu said, "We have collected opinions through an online public forum to empathize with the problems faced by youth and discover policies that resonate with them," adding, "We will continue to do our best to listen carefully to the stories of young people through various attempts and reflect them in district administration."

The district has been supporting youth network activities, such as the youth policies "Activation of Dongdaemun-gu Youth Policy Governance" and "Planning Group to Strengthen Dongdaemun-gu Youth Core," which were discovered through online and offline public forums operated by Dongcheongnet last May and selected for the Seoul Youth Autonomous Budget Project.
