The Oksan (Busan-bound) Rest Area on the Gyeongbu Expressway, managed by Korea Expressway Corporation, announced that it is doing its utmost to prevent the spread of COVID-19 during this Chuseok holiday.
Since the spread of COVID-19 in February, all staff at the Oksan (Busan-bound) Rest Area have been strictly following daily disinfection protocols, disinfecting the entire store twice a day and promoting mask-wearing campaigns.
During this Chuseok holiday period, Korea Expressway Corporation has prohibited dining inside the stores to reduce the time customers spend at rest areas and prevent the spread of COVID-19. Accordingly, the Oksan (Busan-bound) Rest Area has arranged a take-out only menu and installed temporary tables outside to minimize customer inconvenience.
Additionally, two facial recognition temperature measurement devices and an electronic customer entry log have been installed to enable immediate contact tracing in case of a COVID-19 outbreak. The customer management system also monitors all vehicles entering the rest area to proactively prevent the spread of infection.
Nam In-ho, the head of the Oksan (Busan-bound) Rest Area, stated, “We will do our best to ensure the safety of customers using the rest area during this holiday, and we ask all citizens to cooperate in preventing the spread of COVID-19.”
