Hwasun-gun to Open 'Public Cultural Facilities' from the 29th

[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Young-gyun] Jeollanam-do Hwasun-gun (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 28th that it will partially reopen the ‘public cultural facilities’ that had been closed due to the implementation of social distancing level 2 starting from the 29th.

With 7 out of 10 adults feeling depressed due to COVID-19, the entire nation is going through psychological and emotional difficulties, so it is expected that the cultural thirst of the residents will be somewhat relieved.

Additionally, the number of visitors will be limited by time slots, and operations will be conducted while strictly adhering to quarantine guidelines.

Visitors can enter only after registering via QR code, undergoing a temperature check, and confirming mask-wearing, and must maintain a distance of at least 2 meters from each other.

The cultural and artistic facilities reopening include a total of seven locations: the Seokbong Art Museum, the Cheonbul Cheontap Photo Culture Center, the Oh Ji-ho Memorial Hall, Hwasun Artists’ Village, Jeong Yul-seong’s Hometown House, Chung-ui-sa Shrine, and the birthplace of Lee Se-jong.

With the reopening of these cultural and artistic facilities, visitors can once again enjoy the high-quality exhibitions that had attracted much attention through word of mouth.

A special exhibition of artist Gu Cheol-woo’s works will be held at Hwasun Artists’ Village in Neungju-myeon.

This is a special opportunity to encounter Gu Cheol-woo’s calligraphy and painting works, as he believed that art is not about money and never held a solo exhibition throughout his life.

At the Cheonbul Cheontap Photo Culture Center located in Doam-myeon, the invited photo exhibition ‘CITY SPECTRUM’ by famous photographer J.Ahn will be reopened.

The exhibition is efficiently arranged to showcase the diverse spectrum of urban culture, allowing visitors to fully experience and relax.

The county’s eagerly prepared new exhibition is also awaiting its opening.

A solo exhibition of Western paintings by artist Jeong Wan-gi, who is actively producing works with his unique artistic spirit, will be held at the Seokbong Art Museum for two weeks starting from the 29th.

A county official said, “We are fully prepared to resume various exhibitions and cultural programs that could not be held due to the closure,” and added, “We ask visitors to actively cooperate by strictly following quarantine rules during their visits.”
