[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] On the 28th, Lim Young-jin, CEO of Shinhan Card, urged, "Let's evolve beyond the existing card business and financial sectors into a 'Life & Finance' platform."
At the 13th anniversary ceremony held at Shinhan Card headquarters in Euljiro, Jung-gu, CEO Lim stated, "True exploration is not about finding new landscapes but about seeing with new eyes," and added, "Based on the 13 years we have achieved together, let's evolve through insight into the flow of the times and essence for the 'Life & Finance' company we will build together."
In particular, CEO Lim presented '13ecoming Shinhan Card' as a core keyword, emphasizing, "We must constantly change (Becoming) not by the past growth method of 'Being,' but for 'one dream and three challenges.'"
The future vision of Shinhan Card proposed by CEO Lim is a Life & Finance platform. It aims to provide optimal products and information services sought by customers through a larger data frame, transcending the existing card business and financial sectors. To achieve this, three future business models have been concretized: 'Personal Customer Financial Platform,' 'Comprehensive Life Platform based on MyData,' and 'Personal Business Financial Platform.'
The Personal Customer Financial Platform refers to the 'Daily-PEFM (Personal Expenditure and Financial Management)' business, which implements all financial services from payment to financial products and asset management within a single application (app) in the customer's hand.
The Comprehensive Life Platform refers to the 'New Discovery Platform' business, which provides new customized services and non-financial benefits tailored to individual lifestyles based on MyData. The Personal Business Financial Platform refers to the 'Amazing-BFM (Business Financial Management)' business, which comprehensively manages and supports the operation and finance of affiliated stores.
Along with this, Shinhan Card has concurrently renewed its brand management system, establishing a brand system (brand essence & aspirational values) suitable for the future business vision and a brand value evaluation system to manage it.
Meanwhile, the anniversary ceremony was held in an untact (contactless) manner via live broadcast due to the impact of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
